When I look back at my 12 years of photographing weddings, I realize that the wedding days that stay in the forefront of my mind are the ones that truly moved me. Kimberley and Tina’s wedding day at Red Corral Ranch did just that. They welcomed only their very dearest to celebrate in their exchange of vows and commenced their ceremony with a loving thanks to each of their three children – all who beamed with love of a family already, but were making it official that afternoon. It was the presence of family throughout the whole weekend that moved me most. Family who effortfully decorated the barn and created the ceremony site; family who gathered in loving support for the start of a new family; even Kim and Tina’s friends seemed more like family than good buds. The ties were strong in this crowd and it was an honor to photograph. I wish the depth of love that raised the barn roof that night for everyone on this planet.
