Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas knows how to host a wedding. It’s often tough for a couple to decide between planning a wedding within the vibrant city-limits of Austin, or in the serenity of the Texas Hill Country. Mercury Hall really is the best of both worlds. The venue is a stone’s throw from downtown; it’s wrapped in oak trees, paved with limestone, and houses a restored 1904 church that can charm any ceremony or dance hall ideas. Guests can linger into the garden patio, and take their own private strolls around the property for a quiet break from the dance floor if they wish.
I felt lucky to photograph the hilltop setting for Eva and Matt’s wedding day. Eva’s touches were a perfect balance of elegance and simplicity. These two were adamant about not drawing attention to themselves on their very own wedding day; rather, celebrating the gathering of loved ones was their highest priority. They brought together two loving, rooted families who all packed the house to party!
